1. Introduction [INTRO]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello, hello, hello! Thanks for choosing this walkthrough to be your wondrous
guide into the world of The Godfather.
Now this guide follows a simple procedure. It does not list missions then
safes then film reels then businesses etc. It lists them according to the
order when you should be able to take them on (I won't have you take on the
Cuneo compound right after the second mission).
Now, onto the guide (well first, the legal crap).

5. Weapons [WEAPO]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
REVOLVER
.38 Snub Nose
The .38 snub nose is a standard police-issue sidearm. It is the quietest
firearm, but is also the weakest.
.38 Special (LVL.2)
The .38 special is and upgraded revolver with a slightly faster firing rate
than the base revolver. Your ammo has increased to 60 bullets.
Saturday Night Special (LVL.3)
The Saturday night special is a modified revolver that has the fastest firing
rate. Your ammo carry limit has increased to 80 bullets.
PISTOL
Pistol (Level 1)
The semiautomatic sidearm uses a vertical clip with an eight round capacity.
The pistol has a fast firing speed with an even faster reload.
Extended Clip Pistol (Level 2)
The modified/extended clip pistol has an upgraded clip that holds 10 rounds
and fires faster than its predecessor. The modified pistol has an ammo carry
limit of 80 rounds.
Assassin's Pistol (Level 3)
The assassin's pistol is the most advanced pistol available, with a
blistering firing rate. Its extended clip holds 14 rounds, making for very
few reloads.
The ammo carry limit is increased to 140 bullets.
MAGNUM
Magnum (Level 1)
The magnum is a hand cannon with a swing and cylinder. The magnum is the
loudest and most powerful sidearm, and it rivals the shotgun in damage dealt.
Extended Barrel Magnum (Level 2)
The modified/extended barrel magnum is upgraded to use longer bullets that
deal more damage and exit the cylinder faster than the case magnum.
Python (Level 3)
The python is the most lethal one-handed firearm available. It's upgraded from
the modified magnum, and its cylinder holds eight rounds. The hollow-tip
bullets it uses deal an unparalleled amount of damage. Additionally, the ammo
carry limit is increased to 80 bullets.
TOMMY GUN
Tommy Gun (Level 1)
The tommy gun is a compact machine gun that is small and light enough for one
man to handle. It cuts enemies down in record time, but it has a slow reload.
Modified Tommy Gun (Level 2)
The modified tommy gun is augmented to hold 50 bullets, and it has a faster
firing rate than the standard tommy gun. The reload is still slow though.
Dillinger (Level 3)
The Dillinger is the most advanced tommy gun available. It has an astounding
75-bullet clip, making for fewer reloads and a blistering firing rate.
SHOTGUN
Long Barrel Shotgun (Level 1)
The long barrel shotgun is a pump-action rifle that fires effectively over
short ranges. Because the shotgun has a pump reload after every two shots,
you better make every shot count.
Double Barrel Shotgun (Level 2)
The double barrel shotgun has a slightly shortened barrel that makes for more
damage with each shell. More importantly, your ammo count is increased to 24
bullets.
Street Sweeper (Level 3)
The street sweeper is arguably the most powerful firearm available. The clip
is modified to hold 10 shells that are fired like an automatic weapon. The
ammo carry limit is increased to 100 shells.
BASEBALL BAT
The baseball bat (or other melee weapon) is a strong weapon that is great for
intimidation, and in the right hand, it can be lethal.
MOLOTOV
Total carried: four (without skill upgrade).
The Molotov is a glass bottle filled with fuel and topped off with an oily
rag. Light it and watch your targets burn. You can carry only a limited
number, so use the Molotovs wisely.
DYNAMITE
Total carried: one (without skill upgrade). Dynamite does tremendous damage
to a small area, making it great for destroying vehicles, safes, and bank
vaults. It can be thrown or planted, but it has a short fuse, so watch your
back.
BOMB
Total carried: one (without skill upgrade). A bomb deals tremendous damage to
a large area. If thrown or planted inside a building, it will gut it. Because
the bomb has a long fuse, timing is everything.
GARROTE WIRE
The garrote is an instrument of execution by strangulation. To use it you
must seize your enemy form behind, so be patient.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6. Walkthrough [WALKT]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And now, here comes, the moment you've all been waiting for, the Walkthrough!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.01 Mission 0 [MIS00]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: Mission 0 isn't really a mission, it's a prelude. So when asked when
starting a new game "Do you want to play the prelude?" click yes. Otherwise
click no and skip to Ceremony 1.
In the movie you see Johnny Trapani (your father) paying his dues to Don
Corleone and Peter Clemenza. You see him meet his wife, Sarafina (your
mother) outside of his bakery. Then the bakery explodes in a mass of flames!
What are we to do?
As Johnny rushes in he sees a couple of thugs. Just hold the left mouse
button and press Q and E until they're kneeling. Now knee them in the face
(don't worry; neither the flames nor the thugs can hurt you)! Once you're
done with all of them a cut scene appears.
You see your father emerge from the flames just as Don Barzini's men pop him
full of lead. Then you see yourself as a small boy and Don Corleone telling
you to save your anger until the time is right.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.02 Ceremony 1 [CER01]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: Ceremonies are basically cut scenes but I will explain them just in case
you don't understand.
It is The Godfather's daughter's wedding day today. As Luca Brasi stands
outside practicing his speech you see Sarafina walk into the Godfather's
office. She talks to him and asks him to find you.
Tom Hagen (the Corleone's consigliere) stares out the window while Luca
finishes his speech and decides to leave. "One more thing my friend," says
the Don. "I need you to find someone for me."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.03 Mission 1 [MIS01]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: You should have made your character to your liking by now.
You are getting beat up just as Luca starts strolling in. You got involved in
this gang and now you want some cash. This fatso doesn't like that idea. Then
Luca takes a lead pipe and smashes his brains in. He finally found you.
Now this mission is really easy. Just do what the computer tells you to do.
Oh...wait! Before you beat up the last guy, throw him into the crate at the
right side of the alley. Voila! $1000. That's a lot of cash in the beginning
of the game.
Talk to Luca and he'll give you a map and tell you about the objectives menu.
Your first objective is to go to the safehouse. Not so fast! We've got some
exploring to do.
Now as soon as you get out of the alley turn left. Keep heading down Bowery
St. then make a left into the alley. Ignore the Tattaglia gangster here and
at the end of the alley. When you emerge you should see a barber shop across
the street. That’s Demantagna’s barber shop owned by the Tattaglias.
Here’s where the fun begins.
Grab hold of the Tattaglia mobster in front of the shop. Walk him over to
the window and press W to throw him in. Run into the shop and knock him out.
Take his gun (if he doesn’t have a gun that’s ok; use melee for the next
part). Draw the pistol, open the door in the back of the store, and fire away
at the second Tattaglia gangster. Reload it, hide it, and then go back into
the front of the store again. Talk to the barber.
He refuses to pay. We gotta teach him a lesson (now the bar in the upper
right hand corner shows when he’s going to crack and when he’s going to fight
back; the objective here is, not to take the money when the blue bar goes just
past the green bar, but to make it go just short of the red bar [if you settle
with the lowest cash payment all the time you can lose up to a $100,000!]).
I would settle with a payout of about $700-750. But, once you reach 700 stop
and talk to him again. You don’t wanna go too far or else or you’re going to
blow it. Target his register, punch it out, and take the money inside. Still
doesn’t crack? Hold ‘im and take out a few punches until the payout is about
$700 (more or less $25). Stop and talk to him. He should give you your payout
and now he’ll pay you every week! Now emerge from the store with a happy smile
on your face, right? Wrong! We still got one more thing to do. Get out of the
barbershop and go left. Turn left into the alley. Go down until you see a man
with a puppet sign on top of him. This guy’s a black market merchant. He
sells either guns or bombs. Talk to him and buy one (1) dynamite stick. Now
head back into the store. Go into the back room and stand by the safe. When
the “Plant Dynamite - P” icon appears press P and run into the front of the
store (don’t run out of the store because it might get glitched). When you
hear the explosion run back into the back room and take the dynamite, the
money, and any gun that emerges.
Now head to the safehouse. Right in front of it should be a rather large
gunfight. Avoid it. Now as soon as you walk in go to the start menu. When your
respect points go up a level you get a skill point. Skill points can be traded
in for skills at any time in the game. I suggest keeping everything leveled
because you don't want your character to be one-sided. Click “Skills and
Upgrades” then up your fighting by one and your shooting by one. Then go
upstairs and into your room. Take the RX bottle on the table if you need it
(full health) and also take the baseball bat by the trunk. Then finally save.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.04 Mission 2 [MIS02]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now before you start the mission, in the main menu of the game go to “Load
Game”. The once your character appears go to “Edit”. Here you can edit your
character if you want to. I would suggest wearing the clothes that I tell you
to wear but that’s completely up to you. But remember; the clothes I tell
you to wear = more respect bonus.

Go and answer the phone by pressing space. You hear someone tell you to meet
Luca outside. Go do just that. Yay, cut scene!
Luca starts telling you how he likes it in this town now and warns you never
to disrespect the Godfather. Then he tells you that old Emilio is paying the
Tattaglias his money.
When you start out talk to Luca one more time. Then go into the butcher shop
across the street. You see a menu come up of what I’ve taught you before. Then
go talk to old Emilio.
He won’t budge. So, let’s destroy his counter, scale, and his cash register
(take the money inside). He probably will already pay you but let’s turn up
the heat a little more. Grab him and punch him until you get a payout of about
$1,100. Now talk to him again. He’ll be more than happy to pay you the money.
The back door has been unlocked.
Go through the back door and up the stairs. You’ve discovered a racket. Don’t
go talk to the racket boss just yet. Beat up both Tattaglia thugs then one of
the fat men. Now you should see a bar that says Frankie “The Flush” in the top
right hand corner of your screen. Grab him then bring him to a wall and smack
him. Ohhhh. That works real well. Do it again, and again, and again, until you
get a payout of about $750. Now talk to him and buy him out. Now go and plant
the dynamite on the safe in the other room. Run and hide either downstairs or
behind a poker table. When you here the boom go and collect the $1,500 and the
dynamite stick. Uh-oh. Police in the house. Bribe him for just $100! Then go
and give Luca the money you “earned”. He tells you to go meet his friend,
Paulie Gatto.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.05 Mission 3 [MIS03]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now go to the skills menu and upgrade your health and your speed by one notch.
Then go talk to the mobster wearing the black jacket. He’ll tell you to go take
over business. We can’t do that just yet. Go to your safehouse and save.
Then go to the edit menu and put on these clothes (it might seem like a lot
of money now, but we’ll get 5x as much back; don’t worry)

Now that we have that straightened out let’s go see Paulie. Either walk or
take the car that is parked behind the building (back door) to the Falconite
social club. When you get there walk in front of it to trigger a cut scene.
In the scene you meet Paulie and Monk. They tell you that the Undertaker’s
daughter got beat up pretty bad by a couple of punks. Follow them and stick
close.
Now before going straight in and fighting the thugs there’s a certain money
bag that you should get. To the left of the graveyard should be a church. To
the right of the church doors should be a see-through fence. If you look
really closely you can see a bag of money leaning up against the headstone.
But, first...
Go with Monk and Paulie and whack the blue guy. Then run into the graveyard,
get the money ($2,000), then start throwing the red guy around. When he’s just
below dying a cut scene triggers.
You and Monk throw Red into a grave and Monk starts throwing dirt on him.
Paulie tells him he should treat the ladies a little nicer and with a little
respect. Now it’s too late. Then he K.O.s him with the shovel. Congrats! You
passed mission three. Go to the skills menu and upgrade your street smarts one
notch. Then talk to Monk. He tells you that Luca is waiting for you over at
the Bowery. Don’t go to him yet. We have a crazy load of stuff to do.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.06 Free Roam 1 [FRR01]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now free roaming is basically about getting your respect and money up. Taking
over business/rackets, buying safehouses, and collecting film reels. You can
choose to skip free roams but I highly suggest you do them. The min. net value
is “$”. The max. is “$$$$$”. NOTE: An easy way to add money and increase the
pain the shopkeeper is receiving and giving try strangling him/her (X).
BUSINESSES AND RACKETS
Businesses to Extort: Very Easy

Controlling Family: Stracci
Weakness of Shopkeeper: Using Melee Attacks

Max Payout: $600
Min Payout w/ W.O.S: $190
Max Payout w/ W.O.S: $750

Description: Go1 to Grand News. Defeat the lone thug in the front and cough the
money out of the shopkeeper by using melee attacks. I’d stop at $700 just to be
safe.
Global Trading Company
Location: Prince Street and Center Street
Controlling Family: Tattaglia
Weakness of Shopkeeper: Using Melee Attacks
Min Payout: $150
Max Payout: $600
Min Payout w/ W.O.S: $190
Max Payout w/ W.O.S: $750
Net Value: $
Description: Go to Global Trading Co. Once you get there, there should be an
alley on the north side of the building. Circle around and you should see two
more thugs there. Don’t go through the back door. Go all the way down the
alley and crouch behind the dumpster. Now the thugs don’t see you. Get out
some kind of weapon and shoot one guy in the head. When the second one starts
running shoot him too. Now the three in front should start running towards
you. If they don’t go back to the front of the store and blow their brains
out. Now that that is taken care of head on into the store. Talk to the owner.
He won’t pay. Here comes the fun part. Destroy his two cabinets and his
register then melee and strangle him until he croaks I went to about $550 but
you can go more if you’re brave enough.
But there’s still the matter of the racket upstairs. Now you should have
gotten some kind of heavy weapon from the thugs outside. Take it out and go
through the back door. Take out the thug and wait. The double doors open and
two more thugs run in. Take them out then go on in. Take out the thug coming
down the stairs, then go up yourself. When the door opens, kill the thug that
comes out and the one that comes out of the room on the left. Collect all the
ammo and money you may have missed then go back into the room upstairs (it has
a bunch of windows). Blow up the safe then go through the other door upstairs.
Take a left then go into the elevator. When it arrives you should be on the
roof of the building. There are two thugs here and a racket boss, so be
careful when you’re firing not to kill him. Destroy the thugs and then talk to
the boss. If he don’t pay try turning up the heat a little. Grab hold of him
then throw him. Slam him into a couple of walls until the payout goes to about
$630. Then lay off or else he’ll fight back. Oh yeah. And upgrade your
fighting again one notch.

head if you can. Then come out of hiding and kill everyone else point blank.
Then go in. When you go in destroy all the counters and the register then
punch the owner a couple of times. I quit at $1,100. Now let’s go downstairs

lady until she pays about $1,300. Now lets go check out the racket.
There is a stairwell by the elevators. Go up one floor with either a shotty
or a tommy gun. Kill the guard then go up another floor. Here’s where the fun
begins. Kill the thug hiding behind the couch. Then hide there yourself as
you take out the remaining thugs. When that’s done, approach the racket boss
for a little negotiation. Talk to him (or punch him, whatever makes you feel
better) until he coughs up no less than $2,500. Then blow the safe in the room

running towards you, move your reticule a little up and shoot again, and again
for the final guy. Now be careful. There might be another bad guy coming down
the stairs to the left. Now go in. Now as soon as you get inside shoot and
kill the thug to your left. Once he's taken care of talk to the host and go
into the main part of the building: the stage and the bar. Now the owner
doesn't take kindly to unwelcome visitors. So take her by the throat and slam
her head against the bar until she cracks. Go until you get a payout of about

the racket. There are two thugs here; shoot them and move on. Now with the
racket boss you can go all the way; $1,000. After that go downstairs. Speak to
the owner and stop at about $1,500. Then blow the safe in the room to the
right of the entrance. Take the dough and dynamite and go home.
NOTE: After you've taken over this business you should at least be at level 11
respect (if you've been following this guide). Upgrade your fighting.

Max Payout w/ W.O.S: $2,250

out...just kidding! There is a racket dealing cigars in this joint and a safe.
Blow the safe and extort (throw, slam, and lean) the racket boss for about
$1,700-$1,800. Whoo! $4000 richer!
Hotel Alioto
Location: Barclay Street and Church Street
Controlling Family: Stracci
Weakness of the Shopkeeper: Threatening Innocents
Min Payout: $450
Max Payout: $1,800
Min Payout w/ W.O.S: $565
Max Payout w/ W.O.S: $2,250
Net Value: $$
Description: Go to Hotel Alioto. Six thugs are surrounding it. Two in the
front, two in the crevice to the right, and two in the crevice across the
street. Now the basic plan of attack is to hide behind a wall and try to get
headshots each time. If you can't do that just rush in. Now extorting the owner
isn't that hard. You just have to slam his head into the counter a couple of
times that's all. I stopped at around $1,000. Now lets head on upstairs.
There might be a guard prowling the stairs so be careful. Stop on the third
floor and kill the thug trying to hide behind the couch. Take his place and
take out each thug one by one until it's safe enough to go in. Talk to the
racket boss and then blow the safe to get some more cash. Before walking
out you at least be at level 11. Take the time to upgrade your shooting. It'll
help you in the long run.
RACKET TRUCKS
When you're en route to a mission, about to extort a business, or on the
street with out a purpose, and you spot a racket truck, attempt to halo it
(stopping it at a junction and shooting the windshield), dispatch the crew
inside, interrogate the driver, and then locate your nearest safehouse to flee
from the cops. This can be dangerous, so be sure you've just saved, and you're
not in the middle (or at the end) of a mission. Try hijacking four to five
trucks to get the hang of this.
BANKS
There are two banks in Little Italy, and you should aim to rob the one nearest
your initial safehouse. The Bowery Bank is straightforward; park a truck facing
facing your safehouse, drop the dynamite, then flee to your truck and race to
the safehouse at breakneck speeds.
Savings and Loans bank offers double the money, but it's extremely far from
your safehouse. With this in mind try taking over the Stracci-owned Alioto
Hotel to the south, then purchase that safehouse (for $40,000). The expenditure
may not seem worth it, but the safehouse is useful for more than just a bank
hideout location.
NOTE: Blowing up a bank safe nets you cash, but unlike destroying a safe, your
dynamite isn't replenished afterwards. Try visiting a black market merchant
after every heist to keep your dynamite stock up to par.
SAFES
Whenever you extort a business and a racket, be sure you check for a safe, then
blow it up. You receive another stick of dynamite, and a bag of swag that could
contain up to $1,000. Your goal is to collect all the items each business has
to offer; the safe is the most important, but collect stray money, items,
weapons, and ammunition too.
NOTE: Don't forget to crack the safes inside the clinics too.
CONTRACT HITS
Don't worry about looking for gangsters that have especially annoyed the
Corleone Family; you haven't met Salvatore Tessio yet.
BRIBING THE POLICE
If you need to lose so heat. be sure you visit the cop shop; there's only one
in Little Italy. Head into the parking area to the left, and talk to the police
chief. Have some money handy. Also bribe beat cops if your heat level escalates
past two.
WAREHOUSES AND TRANSPORT HUBS
There are actually five warehouses and hubs in Little Italy (one of which is
derelict), but it isn't wise to take them over until you've spent some more
skill points.
RIVAL FAMILY COMPOUNDS
Little Italy is unique as there are no other Family compounds except the
Corleone's (the Family you're allied to). By all means head to the Corleone
Compound; if you can get inside either building, check the basement for a stash
of pistol ammunition.
WEAPON PURCHASES AND UPGRADES
There are about 12 black market merchants in the greater Little Italy area
(including the industrial area to the west). Head there for ammunition, health
(although the Doctor's office is better), and more importantly, an upgrade to
your revolver. Note you don't have to have bought the "level 2" to buy the
"level 3"; but you'll receive a large (7,500 respect) bonus for doing so. Check
your expenses, then opt for the Level 2, then the Level 3 (Saturday night
special) revolver if you can afford it.
SAFEHOUSES
It isn't necessary to purchase a safehouse this early into your expedition, as
the Grand Apartments provides access to the Bowery Bank and a cluster of
businesses to extort. There are four safehouses in Little Italy:
The Saint Martin Hotel, which is only marginally closer to the Tattaglia
warehouse to the west (extort the hotel, but buy the room later).
The Bowery Hotel is only needed when taking in the Tattaglia warehouse on the
east side of town. This is a Barzini stronghold, and should be left well alone.
Hotel Alioto would be the first choice for your next safehouse; it's near
Brooklyn so you can extend your empire before you're given a safehouse there
later in the game. The cost is astronomical, but it will pay for itself when
you're running from the cops after you just robbed Savings and Loans.
MOBFACE CLOTHING
Keep it stylish. Keep it smart. But keep on buying it! The respect bonuses are
exceptional, and the clothing is reasonably inexpensive. Try to get two or
three complete outfits.
FBI AGENTS
There's only one FBI agent in the whole of Little Italy, and it's only
necessary to find him if you start a mob war. As the Tattaglias are the major
problem, you're likely to be dealing with them primarily. Check Tom's report;
there's no concern until you start tackling down warehouses.
STOLEN SHIPMENTS
There are no stolen shipments in Little Italy, so don't concern yourself with
finding any.
FAMILY FIGHTS AND EXECUTIONS
There's only one spot where an attack between rival Families occurs; just north
of the black market merchant selling the upgraded pistol you want. Meet him
during the day to minimize the chances of being attacks, or at night to
experience the battle. Look out for two locations where an execution takes
place.
FILM REELS
Collecting the 100 film reels nets you a total of 100,000 respect points. It's
vital to find as many as possible during the early stages, as they really help
you race through respect levels. Make sure you find all 20 in the greater
Little Italy area. Optionally, head to neighboring boroughs to claim the
stashes there, too. Get as many film reels as possible, as early as possible.

EXECUTION STYLES
Finishing a foe with a particularly entertaining or bloody takedown grants you
an execution and a respect bonus, which gets all the sweeter once you've
completed every execution type. Check your rap sheet, and you'll see the
executions you've completed.
BURGLARIES/ROBBERIES
I know what you're thinking so no, you don't get to rob people and/or stores.
Spotting and catching muggers is crucial in the beginning of the game and in
this Free Roam. When you're running down the street or doing some crazy turn
keep your ear out for the screams of helpless women getting robbed. Once you
catch the mugger, you can beat the living snot out of them and take whatever
they leave behind; most of the time it's some dough worth around $3,000
(finders keepers!). But watch out for your wanted level. It goes up a lot once
you stop a robbery, and you might want to bribe a cop every now and then to
keep New York's finest off of your back.

6.07 Mission 4 [MIS04]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now that we are finally done robbing banks, extorting rackets and businesses,
blowing up safes, and collecting film reels let's get back to the main story.
Oh, but before that, you should have already bought the safehouse and the Level
2 snub nose. The Level 3 can wait until later (if you haven't bought them, go
rob some banks or run around until you get your weekly pay). Now, let's go meet
Luca at the Bowery.

When you get there step into the blue circle to trigger a cut scene. Luca gives
you a snub nose and tells you to shoot the dummy in the chest, the shoulder,
and then the knee. But hold on a sec! When the dummy falls onto the boxes, it
should reveal some cash ($2,500). If not, then just shoot the boxes until the
dough comes out. Now press CAPS to hide behind the wall and do what Luca tells
you. Then shoot the truck and then reload.
Now follow Luca into the car to drive to Midtown to a meeting with Sollozzo.
As you're driving you hear a flashback of a conversation between Don Corleone
and Luca Brasi. The Don asks Luca to check out the Sollozzo fellow and to get
on the inside. Now this part is timed so don't dilly-dally. When you get there
Luca tells you that if anything happens go find Monk. Then he walks in and a
cut scene emerges.
Luca is chatting with Sollozzo about joining his mob. As Bruno Tattaglia lights
Luca's cigarette he stabs Luca in the hand and Silvio Berre strangles Luca with
a garrote wire. T.S.! Then Silvio sees you. Uh-oh.
When game starts again go and hind behind the boxes. Fire carefully and try not
to miss. When everyone is killed in that area, go and hide behind the wall to
the left. Some more Tattaglia thugs run out the back door. Shoot them and move
on. When you step into the kitchen, another thug walks through the door. Shoot
him and move on. Don't go right. There's a door that leads to a bar. Shoot all
the thugs through the glass. Then kill Sollozzo. Now we have to run from the
cops.
When you get into the street try to find a roadster if you can't get any car
that you're used to driving and run like hell! When you reach Little Italy
you're safe but the clock's still ticking. Get to your safehouse to beat the
mission.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.08 Mission 5 [MIS05]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After the emotional phone call with Monk you can start exploring Little Italy
or, if it's the afternoon already, you can go to the meeting place. I suggest
to wait and then to meet Monk.

When the Corleone mobster in front of your safehouse has a puppet signal above
him talk to him. He'll tell you that Monk's going to meet you at DeMantagna's,
the first business you extorted. Go meet him.
Before you walk into the shop shoot the glass then vault over the barrier into
the shop. You may ask "Why?" Well the simple reason is this: a gunfight is
coming up (Oops! Spoiler!) and it'll be easier for you to shoot the mobsters
through a no-glass empty space then it will be to shoot out the glass first.
Here comes a cut scene.
Now in the cut scene the barber, Monk, and the Don all get shot. Now you have
to protect Frankie, Monk's sister. Kill all the thugs outside (I counted three)
then go after the punk who has Frankie. Shoot the thug in the head. Another
cut scene.
Now you have to follow the ambulance that has the Don. Follow it closely or
else you'll lose it and fail the mission. Keep following it until it hits the
bridge and auto "driver" takes over.
Kill all the thugs then interrogate the guy with the puppet icon above his
head. He says Sollozzo has Tom Hagen, your consigliere, in a diner in Brooklyn.
Don't worry about Tom. He can take care of himself. Before you leave though,
blow up the racket truck on the left side of the bridge to reaveal @3,000.
Get into the ambulance anddrive to the hospital...fast! When you get there you
see Sonny getting allcareless and slapping Fredo in the back of the head. Then
you see Peter Clemenza, Michael and Sonny Corleone's "teacher", calling you
over. You tell him what happened and he tells you to go to the compound. Let's
do just that.

all your skills are leveled. From this point forward, I'm not going to tell you

gossip being exchanged between the two men. Tom Hagen talked himself out of
being kidnapped! That's a new one. Now head on into Tom's office and talk to
him. Yay! You're an Enforcer now. Head on out and talk to the other fat guy
and learn that Clemenza waiting for you over at the Falconite. Not so fast! No
this isn't another Free Roam but it is the most fun in the entire game!
Contract Hits! Wohoo! Talk to the balding guy in front of the doorway and accept
the job.

hand strikes and you're finished. $2,500!

6.11 Hit 2 [HIT02]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Go back to Sal and get your second hit objective, Donnie Marinelli. You hears
Sal. Let's go and whack this slime ball!
Head over to club where Donnie is at. Careful now. It's surrounded by Tattaglia
goons. I suggest just running in and killing the guy straight away. Once he's
taken care of head back to Sal.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.12 Hit 3 [HIT03]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Speak to Sal. He'll tell you that the next guy on your hit list is Tony
Bianchi. Head over to the whore house where he's located.
This hit is kind of like the Hitman games. Start by going to the fourth floor
and garroting the guy guarding the door (sorry). Then garrote the guy looking
at books. Then go straight in and kill Tony. It's that simple, and you got
$15,000 richer!

Yes you guessed it. Head over to Sal to get your next-to-last hit for this part
of the game. He tells you to kill the Tattaglia's consigliere. Wow! Big job.
He's all the way in Little Italy though so drive there.
Once you get there head downstairs and hide by the archway leading into the
garage. When you see the maid start to walk go back upstairs and wait for her
to come up. Once she's nearby strangle her to death. Then go back downstairs
and strangle the bodyguard. Then take out your level 2 snub nose and shoot
Freddy until he falls.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.14 Hit 5 [HIT05]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The last hit for this part of the game is a little bit tricky. You have to burn
Johnny Tattaglia. So right after Sal stops talking go and get some Molotovs.
Then head on over to where Johnny is BUT stay out of sight when you get there.
Once you're there take out all the thugs by blowing up the firing barrels. Once
they're all dead, Molotov Johnny to death.
NOTE: Right after this mission it would be wise to buy the level 3 snub nose.
If you don't have enough dough try robbing some banks or waiting until your
weekly payment comes.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.15 Mission 7 [MIS07]

This is mission is fairly challenging. You have to go and protect the Don while
he's in the hospital.

Now go to the Falconite and talk to Clemenza. He'll tell you to go and guard
the Don because he thinks there might be another attempt on his life. Drive to
the St. Francis Hospital in northern Little Italy. You then see a cut scene.
Things are heating up between Frankie and you. Ooo-la-la!
Anyway, when you get back to the game talk to the guard so he can take your
guns away. Dang it. Now, when the door opens, go to Monk's room. You see a
cut scene between you and Frankie then an assassin comes to kill the Don!
Kill him and get his gun. Then Monk tells you to get Frankie out. Let's go!
Now this mission is kind of self explanatory. Just run through the hospital
killing all the thugs until you get to the garage with the ambulance. Frankie
"steals" it to go find Tom and you have to go find Michael. Now there are about
two to three more thugs in the area so be on the look out. Once they're taken
care of Michael comes out of the Don's room. WAIT!!! Before talking to him
there's a bag of cash in the Don's room. Go and get it. Now you can talk to
Michael.
In the cut scene you see the captain punch Michael in the face. Tom Hagen
arrives just in time to save you from a wallop as well. Mission completed!

Now go to Rosa's and step into the circle. Go on in and talk to Rosa. Now go
upstairs and talk to Monk, Paulie, and then Sonny. After you walk back into the
main part of the second floor, police sergeant "bald and fat" comes in and
ruins the entire part. Tsk, tsk, tsk. What a shame. Guess we'll have to kill
him.
Go downstairs and bribe the cop. He tells there are more cops in the alley. Go
through the door and into the alley on the left. Go behind the first cop and
garrote him. Then strangle the second and the third cop. The fourth cop you can
garrote again. Now go through the door and take out your level 3 .38. This is
where that gun comes really into play. Slay the three cops inside the garage
and go upstairs just to see the sergeant run away after brutally raping Rosa.
Talk to her and she tells you that he's yours for the taking. Yes! Go up the
elevator to the left. When you get on the roof you see the sergeant. The
objective here is to get him all the way to the ledge on the roof and throw him
off. Before killing him though, destroy all the crates to reveal five seperate
$1,000 bags of cash. Once that's done watch the cool cut scene. When the game
comes up again you have no objectives so I guess you have to go down. Talk to
Rosa on the way outand she'll tell you to get to the Compound.

Clemenza over at his house in Brooklyn. Just a minute...

RACKET TRUCKS
As before, racket trucks are to be attacked when you're about to start a
mission, extort a business, and the opportunity presents itself. You must take
over a certain number of racket trucks to reach 100 percent.
BANKS
Until you have a safehouse in Brooklyn (which you're given later so there's no
need to buy one now) and get promoted again, the Williamsburg Bank in the
middle of Brooklyn isn't a wise venue to heist. Stay with what you know;
Savings and Loan in Little Italy nets you only $2,000 less.
SAFES
Demolish every safe. I can't stress this enough. Don't forget about the one in
the RX building in Brooklyn.
CONTRACT HITS
After Mission 6, the venerable Salvatore Tessio contracts you for a total of
five hits in the Little Italy and Brooklyn area. All are in and around
buildings you should have taken over by now. Remember to complete all five hits
before Mission 7.
BRIBING THE POLICE
If you need to lose some heat, the police station in Little Italy is still by
far the easiest to reach. The Brooklyn Police Department is in the middle of
town and viable only if you're heading away from a mismanaged extortion
attempt.
WAREHOUSES AND TRANSPORT HUBS
Warehouses to Extort:
Chinaware Wholesaler Storage Facility
Location: Rivington Street and Pitt Street

go through all the roadblocks by hiding and getting head shots. When the
roadblocks are toast carefully advance through the warehouse, killing anyone
that messes with you and picking up all the health packs that come your way.
Then advance on the racket boss and take over your first warehouse!
Italia Warehouse

blocks needed to get in. Kill all the thugs in the main outside area. Move on

that's cowering in the corner, blow the safe, and take over the warehouse.

block without dying and move into the main part of the warehouse. Take out
everyone here and move upstairs by way of the stairs outside. When you get
upstairs slay everyone in sight and move further into the warehouse. When you
get out go down stairs and through the double doors, killing anyone who messes
with you. When that's over go upstairs, kill the thug to the left, blow the
safe, and take over the warehouse. Three down one to go.
Verona Warehouse
Location: Morton Street and Jude Street
Controlling Family: Tattaglia
Weakness of the Racket Boss: Reasoning/Intimidating
Min Payout: $2,000
Max Payout: $8,000
Min Payout w/ W.O.R.B: $2,500
Max Payout w/ W.O.R.B: $10,000
Net Value: $$$
Directions: Go to the Verona Warehouse. When you get there throw a Molotov or a
dynamite stick into the parked cars. If you don't have any, just shoot
everyone. When they're taken care of, go through the entire warehouse picking
up health and ammo. Not much to say because this warehouse is exactly the same
as the first one. Find the boss, interrogate him, and then blow the safe.
RIVAL FAMILY COMPOUNDS
The Tattaglia compound, known as "The Citadel," is in the northeastern part of
Brooklyn, and shouldn't be attempted yet; wait until you've risen a rank in the
Corleone organization.
WEAPON PURCHASES AND UPGRADES
Brooklyn has nine black market merchants, and most of them sell the standard
ammunition or weaponry at inflated prices. However, the merchant down by the
docks in the southern area has a marvelous weapon; the assassin's pistol. It
isn't cheap ($250,000), but it's the best pistol you'll ever use. Don't waste
money on the level 2 pistol; save up until you can buy this one.
SAFEHOUSES
Hotel Alioto in Little Italy is a good place to purchase (although you'd be
better off buying the assassin's pistol at this point), as it's a bridge
journey to Brooklyn, and a good spot to tackle the Cuneo warehouse in Little
Italy's Westside industrial park. Purchase this if you can.
St. Sebastian is the other safehouse that's currently available (although a
free safehouse opens up, and is a much better option). A contract hit takes
place here, but you don't have to take this over to complete the hit. Purchase
this hotel only if you need to buy up all the safehouses.
MOBFACE CLOTHING
Your flashy get-up elicits more than just a series of flattering responses from
the general public; it's a reasonably cheap way to add respect points while
looking good in the process. $179,400 buy you everything and gives you 56,130
respect points. Try to have three or four complete outfits.
FBI AGENTS
You start a mob war if you're systematically dismantling the Tattaglia empire
(which you should be doing). If a mob war begins, torch a Tattaglia business;
this is difficult if you've removed them from the extortion rackets across
town! So, a better bet is to find the agent in Little Italy, or seek out St.
Anne's church, and run into the basement to find Brooklyn's only FBI Agent on
the take.
STOLEN SHIPMENTS
There's one stolen shipment in Brooklyn, and fortunately, it is in the crate-
filled outdoor storage yard where the black market merchant if selling the
assassin's pistol. Locate the package at the same time you purchase the pistol.
FAMILY FIGHTS AND EXECUTIONS
There's only one spot an attack between rival Families occurs; in the grounds
of Brooklyn city hall, just west of the black market merchant. If you need a
bomb, meet the merchant during the day to lessen the chances of stepping into
this bloodbath...unless your trigger finger's extra itchy.
AMBUSHES
There are three ambush areas in Brooklyn, and as always, each near a black
market merchant. Head to purchase goods from them during the day to minimize
your ambush chances.
FILM REELS
There's no easier way to earn 100,000 respect points than to scour the entire
city for film reels. There are 17 in Brooklyn.
Film Reel #28: Behind the low walls across from Tattaglia Hub, on the west
side.
Film Reel #29: On Clemenza's porch.
Film Reel #30: Tucked in the nook behind Dr. Marshall's Clinic.
Film Reel #31: Behind the low walls, on the north side.
Film Reel #32: In the southern tollbooth.
Film Reel #33: At the far end of the docks, behind the crates next to the ship.
Film Reel #34: Tucked between the fence and the garage at the New York Packing
Plant (a.k.a. Sant'Ella Warehouse).
Film Reel #35: Behind the trunks to the Embassy Club's alley.
Film Reel #36: At the back of the alley behind the Full Moon.
Film Reel #37: At the back of the alley near the Full Moon.
Film Reel #38: Behind the crates in back of Cafe Vitales.
Film Reel #39: In the mausoleum next to St. Michael Archangel church.
Film Reel #40: In the northeast corner of the crate-filled area.
Film Reel #41: Behind the stand.
Film Reel #42: Near the fence, behind the green cargo containers.
Film Reel #43: Tucked next to the stoop with the burning barrel in front of it.
Film Reel #44: Near the garage next to the lead pipe.
Looking for muggers isn't that important in this part of the game because if
you compare the amount of money you get for stopping them and the amount of
money you get for completing a mission, there's a big difference! But still,
keep an eye out for those robberies.

Now go to Clemenza's house. After the surprising (and long) cut scene go inside
the restaurant. Go upstairs and pick up the bomb and the Molotov. Then look
down into the garage. You see two Tattaglia mobster trying to shake down YOUR
business. Not good. Kill them then go down and talk to the chef. He'll tell you
to follow him. Do that and he'll open up the door upstairs. There take the
shotgun, RX bottle, and another Molotov. Now return to Clemenza.
Follow Clemenza and go into the Tattaglia owned business. Kill everyone
downstairs and the thug that emerges from the room to the left. Kill the thug
that's waiting at the top of the stairwell, and all the thugs on the second
floor. Now, this is important, plant the bomb as far away from the objective
spot as possible. You'll know why in a sec. When the timer starts, run out of
the room and you'll see a Tattaglia goon come out of the other room. Throw him
down the stairs and go inside the room. $$$! Take it all and run like hell
downstairs! This might take a couple of tries but you can do it.
Here's where the fun begins. After the cut scene move slowly through the storage
yard. Be careful. Paulie blows up barrels and boxes full of explosives every
turn. Once you're at the end just kill Paulie. It's as simple as that. Now we
have to escape the police thanks to Rocco.
Drive to the safehouse. That's it. You get $10,000 + $2,000 that we found in
the Tattaglia business, 7,000 respect, a bonus film clip, and a new safehouse.

When you get to the alley where Oscar is killing all the Stracci thugs first
then when Oscar shows himself shoot him in the knee. When he falls down hit
him in shoulder to make him drop his gun. Then finish him off.

This is mission is probably the most fun mission in the entire game. And it's
pretty self explanatory. Follow Rocco until you get to the stables. After the
gruesome cut scene a guard appears. Instead of fighting him, just strangle him
quietly. When Rocco is finished you lead the way. Come out of the stables and
take a right. Go up the stairs and pause. When the guard appears strangle him.
Now go to the left and up the stairs to the kitchen. There's no need to kill
the butler so ignore him. When he leaves go out into the hallway and kill the
guard to the right. Go up the stairs and kill the guard at the landing. When
the maid disappears from the next room into the hallway kill the guard guarding
the hallway. Before going into the mission end circle go to the left and
through the door onto the balcony. Kill the guard here and take the sack of
cash. Now go into the objective circle.

take over the racket.
RACKET TRUCKS
Snag swag and information from racket trucks when you're about to start a
mission or extort a business, and the opportunity presents itself. Continue the
hijacking which also reveals the city's many rackets. Stop a truck at a
junction, shoot the engine or windshield, defeat the gangsters, talk to the
driver, and flee to a safehouse. Another excellent plan is to follow a truck
and stop it outside a business you own; then Corleone mobsters help you with
the attack!
BANKS
Purchasing the St. Sebastian Hotel's safehouse room allows easier access to the
majority of Brooklyn, but you'll need to heist the Williamsburg Bank four times
to replenish the money it costs. This is still advisable in order to complete
the campaign thoroughly, but there are better returns to your money.
The New Jersey National Bank is an excellent way to accrue a sizeable amount
of money easily, especially if your base of operations is the Lamplight Rooms.
This safehouse is only $10,000 more than the bank heist take, so you'll make
your money back easily.
SAFES
Every venue, including the warehouses and transport hubs and the hospitals,
need their safes cracked. This lets you make even more money and respect for
each business you take over, and it doesn't jeopardize the payment your
shakedown earns you and the Family.
CONTRACT HITS
Once Mission 11 is over, The Trojan beckons you over for another three hits.
One of them take place in New Jersey, giving you the perfect opportunity to buy
the Lamplight Rooms and begin to tackle this area afterward. Try to have all of
Tessio's previous hits, and the Trojan's three, complete before Mission 15.
BRIBING THE POLICE
If you need to lose some heat, the police station in Brooklyn is easy to reach
if you own the St. Sebastian Hotel safehouse. Otherwise, talk to the police
chief on your way to or from a job, assuming your heat isn't too high.
The New Jersey police station is easily accessible from Lamplight Rooms about
three blocks away. Bring down your heat before you attempt a new job or a bank
robbery. The cash expenditure is worth it. Ignore those beat cops and bribe the
big fish!
WAREHOUSES AND TRANSPORT HUBS
Warehouses and Hubs to Extort: (Brooklyn)
Tattaglia Hub
Location: Gold Street and John Street
Controlling Family: Tattaglia (duh...)
Weakness of the Racket Boss: Grabs and Strangles
Min Payout: $3,750
Max Payout: $15,000
Min Payout w/ W.O.R.B: $4,690
Max Payout w/ W.O.R.B: $18,750
Net Value: $$$$
Directions: Go to the Tattaglia Hub. When you get there just work your way
through the complex maze of outdoor box establishments and warehouse floors
until you get to the racket boss on the second floor. Don't settle for any
price under $15,000. Oh, and blow the safe downstairs in the main building.
Sant'Elia Warehouse
Location: Main Street and Empire Street
Controlling Family: Barzini
Weakness of the Racket Boss: Anything
Min Payout: $5,000
Max Payout: $20,000
Min Payout w/ W.O.R.B: $6,250
Max Payout w/ W.O.R.B: $25,000
Net Value: $$$
Directions: Go to the Sant'Elia Warehouse. This is a tough one. Even I have to
say that. Now blast through the roadblock and kill the two thugs by the other
roadblock. Kill the two thugs by the enterance to the box area. Now advance
through and kill all the thugs here. Blow up the explosives to make it easier.
Be careful. There's one fat thug hiding behind the crates behind you and
another one comes into play when the second round of thugs comes out. When
the outside is clear move into the warehouse. Kill everyone here, grabbing the
health and the dynamite along the way. When they are finished talk to the boss.
Right after you start to throw him around another line of three to four thugs
comes in to protect him. Kill them all and buy him out for about $22,000. Now
getting out isn't easier then getting in. There are mobsters everywhere. I just
winged it and ran like hell!
RIVAL FAMILY COMPOUNDS
The Tattaglia Compound, known as "The Citadel", is in northeastern Brooklyn.
Tool up with an upgraded weapon, extra health potions for during the assault,
and one to two bombs. Your task is to attack both of the houses, and lay a bomb
in the basement of each, picking up a second bomb from the Tattaglia's stash.
Once you take it over, you can return here to use it as a safehouse and to
plunder the cellar's ammunition dumps.
WEAPON PURCHASES AND UPGRADES
By now you should have already purchased the assassin's pistol and used on
numerous missions. Now you should cultivate your cash. You need to save up for
the most impressive weapon of all: the Dillinger. It costs $500,000, so it's
going to take some time, but the final missions, and the remaining freelancing,
go all the better with something truly outstanding in the armaments department.
SAFEHOUSES
Purchase the Lamplight Rooms in New Jersey as soon as you attempt to take over
this area. It is owned by the Corleones, so there's no battling to take this
venue. Instead, only cold hard cash will do. As long as you have $10,000 and a
stick of dynamite, you could heist the bank down the road, flee to this place,
and purchase it with your robbery money, gaining a safe place to lie low!
MOBFACE CLOTHING
Your flashy get-up elicits more than just a series of flattering responses from
the general public; it's a reasonably cheap way to add respect points while
looking good in the process. $179,400 buy you everything and gives you 56,130
respect points. Try to have five or six complete outfits.
FBI AGENTS
You will start a mob war if you're systematically dismantling the Tattaglia
empire (which you should be doing). If a mob war begins, torch a Tattaglia
business. This is difficult if you've removed them from extortion rackets
around town! Seek out St. Anne's church, and run into the basement to find
Brooklyn's only FBI agent on the take.
Over in New Jersey, the only FBI agent hiding out is also in a church, on the
western side of town, just to one side of the main park. If you're infuriating
the Straccis, this is a good place to head if a mob war with another Family
begins.
STOLEN SHIPMENTS
There's one stolen shipment in Brooklyn, and fortunately, it is in the crate-
filled outdoor storage yard where the black market merchant if selling the
assassin's pistol. Locate the package at the same time you purchase the pistol.
There are three stolen shipments in New Jersey (if you include the two in the
Tunnels linking it to Hell's Kitchen and Little Italy), but the main one is in
the rail yard accessible from the south, northwest, or north portions of Garden
Parkway Viaduct. Locate it along with the film reels dotted around this area.
FAMILY FIGHTS AND EXECUTIONS
There's only one spot where an attack between rival Families occurs; in the New
Jersey Park, between 4th and 5th streets. The attack occurs near the two black
market merchants plying their trade here. If you require an shotgun upgrade or
a tommy gun, meet the merchant during the day to lessen the chances of stepping
into this fracas...unless you're anxious to slay more mobsters. Also check out
one execution location, a fight between gangsters, and a bum on the east part
of the rail yard.
AMBUSHES
There are three ambush areas in New Jersey, and as always, each is near a black
market merchant. Purchase goods from them during the day to minimize your
ambush chances.
FILM REELS
With 17 film reels in Brooklyn and 16 in New Jersey, if you find all of them,
you can add 33,000 respect points easily, if not quickly.
Film Reel #45: Behind the low wall, on the northern side.
Film Reel #46: Behind the low wall, on the eastern side.
Film Reel #47: On the southern side of the hospital steps.
Film Reel #48: Behind the low wall, on the northern side.
Film Reel #49: Behind the low wall, on the southern side.

in the Lincoln Tunnel.

EXECUTION STYLES
Facing an opponent and not only dispatching him, but defeating him with a wildly
entertaining execution is an excellent way to gain respect. Try to have at
least 80% of the executions finished by now.

Bobby Marcolini is the target so let's go take him out. Get in the car and
drive to the highway where Bobby is at. There are two thugs on the bridge and

instead of popping him full of lead if you want the extra dough and respect.
