I got these cheats by looking through the Impossible Creatures files 
using Find all files including "cheat." and opening those files with 
a txt editor looking for anything that looks like a cheat next to that 
string. This should work for other games too.

cheat_killself       - Blowup all that you have
cheat_buildings      - No building restrictions
cheat_rank           - ??? (Likely a campaign cheat)
cheat_coal(#)        - Gain # coal
cheat electricity(#) - Gain # electricity.

Cheat mode:

After training a creature with digging abilities,
put it to dig. Then press Esc and save the game. After that, load the
previous saved game. The creature will turn invisible and will be able to
atack too, not like camouflaged creatures, that can't fight while going
unseen. Pretty cool, huh?

The level with the volcano is very hard. The easyest strategy is the
folowing:

Survive untill you can build a creature with musky ox body and cameleon
tail. Be sure your creature will have a cameleon head and a tongue attack
(Just like Lickytung, from Pokemon, don't you think?)! After you have a
giant number of creatures, destroy the enemy buildings. Then a scardy-cat of
a henchman will give you his girocopter. Put the creatures back in your
base. Hmm... it seems that the enemy is sending creatures through a tunnel
in the water! scout the area with the girocopter and find the chamber. In
the meantime, put your Lickitung-like creatures to guard the base. Use your
girocopter to build a Creature Chamber on the enemy's part o the island. Use
the 'Lickitungs' (Train them in the new chamber) and destroy the water
chamber. while they fight, train more 'Lickitungs' untill you have a whole
lot. But when you come back... Those idiotic henchmen destroyed my
chamber!!! Worthless worms!!! Don't worry! you have enough creatures to beat
the stuffing out of em'! Go to their last base and take them down!


Powerful creatures:
-------------------
To make a very powerful creature, combine a small animal, such as the lobster, 
with a large animal, such as the sperm whale. 

They most powerful creature in the game is the sperm whale combined with a 
wolvering, 
with all the wolvering parts except the tail (which should be the whale's).

The following are some of the best creatures to combine:

Sperm Whale + Wolverine
Sperm Whale + Gorilla
Sperm Whale + Dragonfly
Sperm Whale + Bull
Sperm Whale + Tiger
Sperm Whale + Elephant
Crocodile   + Gorilla
Crocodile   + Dragonfly 


Good Creatue:
-------------
A good creature is a Bull Frog. It is a level 4 creature. It is a Bull with the 
Poison Frog. It has health in the 200s and when upgraded it has a range attack of 
13 and health of 364. It has a coal cost of around 200 and electricity cost at 90. 
If you can storm your opponent with these units they can overcome almost anything. 
You need is Bull legs, Frog body, Frog head and tail. It may have low melee but it
has Poison Touch. By the time your opponent's creatures reach this creature, they 
will have low health because of the powerful range attack. 
Then the Bull Frog will finishes it off with Poison Touch.

Two gyrocopters:
----------------
In mission 5 (Trial By Fire) enable the cheat_buildings code and build a 
gyrocopter before you find the abandoned pilot. When you find the pilot, 
protect it and it will be yours and 
the one that you built will still be there. 

Largest range attacks:
----------------------
Swimming    - Electric Eel body on Sperm Whale
Amphibious  - Electric Eel head and tail on Woolly Mammoth

Powerful creatures:

Critter to destroy buildings:
-----------------------------
okay. on the custom army builder, cross a dragonfly with a sperm whale. make sure it has 
the dragonfly's wings and front legs, plus the sperm whales head and tail. it doesn't 
really matter what the other parts are. the dragonfly's front legs allow it to do swoop 
attack, which it's melee damage is 25! the sperm whale's head lets it do sonar pulse 
which is good against other critters.
