this is not actually a cheat just a hint.
now when you are playing a tour odi or test, you should save often if you are using
auto-play options. wot i mean is if you decide to auto-play till the end of your
innings in an odi or test and if you feel your score is low, you can exit it and
load the previous save of that game,and auto-play again, chances are that your score
will rise. this can be done for all auto-play options.
this also help when you are using auto-play for your bowling. so if u cant get the
other team out for a low total, then load the previous save and again auto-play.

HINT FOR EASY SCORING RUNS(TESTS ONLY):

there is a peculiar feature in Cricket 2005 that when you play a test in Easy
mode(difficulty) then during the first 10 to 15 overs of your batting, the other
side will place fielders in such a way that there will be large gaps usually in
the long on and off and deep extra cover and deep square leg region. in other words
there will not be not more than 2 or 3 fielders in the whole outfield towards the
bowlers end. so then you can take full advantage of that by hitting the ball very
straight or just towards mid-on & off, by doing this you will score fast and esay
runs. and if you want to score more runs then press the six hit button usually "shift"
with the shot and you will get many runs in the first few overs of your innings. happy
scoring !!!!!!
ANOTHER HINT FOR GETTING WICKETS FAST IN ONE DAY MATCHES ONLY:

when playing in easy mode you can get the other team out in 2 or 3 overs and not more
than 50 runs. here is how.the best way to take wickets during the fielding restrictions
in to bowl straight. pitch the ball just on good length or a little short of it and keep
the ball pace very slow(just 3 or 4 bars in the pace meter on the left), the batsman will
hit it high in the air and just with enough power to reach your long on fielder(so place
one there). when the fielding restrictions are removed then go for a swing bowler(irfan
pathan for india is really good for that) now use your out-swinger defualt "A" when
bowling and pitch it up really close to the batsman legs, but not on it and bowl it at
low speed and do maximum outswing and watch him get out caught on the boundaries(so place
your fielders in such a way so that they cover all sides of boundaries). another good
option is to place the bowl marker way up behind the stumps and bowl without no swing or
in-swing and then bowl it at good pace then surely the batsman will get bold or caught or
LBW(LBW works best with spinners).
another good way is to around the wicket to all batsman, now pitch the ball just outside
off stump and at good length and do maximum out-swing or spin at low pace and he will hit
it in the air for the deep extra cover fielder to catch it.
NOTE : these are hints given to you based on personal experience. so there is no guarantee
of less runs given in the process of taking wickets.

This tip can be used in the easy mode,in ODI's. Select a fast bowler. Place the ball
pointer behind the stumps. You can bowl at any speed. Place a fielder at long off
straight of the wicket. The bowler will bowl a full toss. The batsmen will usually
get bowled or will give a catch to the long off fielder. Just dont forget to place
the pointer behind the stumps. This tric mostly works but some times it might not
work and the batsmen will defend the ball.You can also apply swing if u want. This
delivery can also be used in test matches but with less effect. Mostly the batsmen
will defend the ball but sometimes he will lose his temper and go for the huge shots
and lose his wicket.

If u really want to score runs fast button 'D' is ur key.If the ball is half folly
i.e. not short nor full lenght and little bit straight.Press froward + shift + D

If u want to restict any team on a very low total , there is a simple way to
do that.Go to creat player and creat a player and made him a mediam bowler and
increas his attributes to 100.Now add him to any team u want .when bowling with
him use standard bowl and make it a bouncer now kept its speed as low as u can
and a little outside the off stamp.If u did it right u will got a bold or LBW.
Now its ur abilty that on how low total u can restrict them.i have restricted
Australia on 3 against USA on hard level.

1)Practice Shots with six-hit-button + Advance-shot- button(D in comp.)
at nets.It has helped me alot.I am able to hit 6 SIXES IN AN OVER with
a tailender(bowler) with no confidence at all.Mostly u have to press it
just before the bowler releases the bowl.
Practice in nets for good timing and massive SIXES.
2)If fielding is spreaded Look for gaps and use ADNVACE SHOTS WITHOUT
SIX-HIT-BUTTON i.e. only advance shots in gaps.also try sweps,backfoot
shots,straight drives etc.Try to increase ur batsmen confidence by hiting
well timed shots.Even if u dont score runs but u hit well timed shots it
will increase ur confidence level.
3)Whenever u play a four or SIX HIT BUTTON SHOT keep pressing the keys.
i.e do not leave ur keys until a four or six is achieved.
BUT LOOK FOR THE NEXT ADVICE.
4)IMPORTANT-If u hit a shot with six hit button and it looks like u are about
to get caught then immediately leave or release ur SIX-HIT-BUTTON.

hi friends. iam submitting my cheat for the first time . i hope u will appreciate
me hard work to find out this cheat. actually this is not a cheat but its just a
hint on how to hit sixes on a short pitch ball.
people think its difficult to hit sixes on shot pitch ball but its not
cirkcet 2005 is best most relistic game of all cricket versions
when u need to hit six on a shot pitch ball the thing that matters is ur timing
and ur position(most important). in this game position plays the most important
part of ur hitting ability.
if ur timing is good without correct position then the ball will dissipear in the
hands of the firlders . now if u want to hit a six on a shot pitch ball take a look
at the marker . suppose the marker is on middle stump then adjust ur position 2 to
3 mm left from the middle stump . thats the correct position . the timing is when
the ball is just abt to pitch hit the six hit buutton along with dirctional key and
six hit button.

Run the game from the Cricket 2005 icon from the desktop.Take England as the
team and take Collinwood as the 1st bowler.(or any team having the medium
bowler who could swing the ball pretty good).If you win the toss then choose
bowling. When the match will start, bring the ball pointer slightly down the
Umpire's hat. Then swing the ball towards left (Press "A" key from the
keyboard and hold the left arrow key and keep pressing "A" key until the
bowler deliver the ball ).You will be surprised that the batsman will be out
either by clean bowled or LBW! Dont't try this in the Hard,Normal Pitch or
the result will be four's and six's.

I will give u some basic tips.
I am always out of time so here they are:
BATTING: First try and make ur timing perfect in nets practice.It will take 30min.
once u have got when u hit the ball u will be making tons of runs.
Usually the timing is just when the ball is about to land i.e. just when the ball
is about to hit the ball marker press ur keys.When u will make ur timing perfect
I will send u more tips.
BOWLING: Always select "MEDIUM" bowler no fast nor fast-medium bowler.It
should be only MEDIUM bowler.Eg;Ganguly,collingwood(eng).Place the bowl on the hat
of umpire using S key.Keep tapping it until the bowl is bowled.When u will practice
this I will tell u the trick behind this in future.See there is a meter on the left
hand side ,it is for bowler.When he bowls it fill up constantly.
Notice a long yellow line in between yellow and red meter.If u cross this it will
be no bowl.So how to stop it ? just press the button u chose to bowl with.Eg u
started to bowl with A the big blue marker dissappears and a red marker also
dissappears now the meter will start to rise just press the A again to stop the
meter.This meter decides the pace of ur bowl.The high it is fast will be the
delivery ,low the meter the ball will be slow.Practice Bowling in NETS.

I found many of my friends are facing problem in key controls here they are :-

Here is a special shot i have found that is reverse sweep.Assume that you are

bowler to bowl other side(for e.g Zaheer Khan of India, Make him bowl other side
and keep the pointer just in front of the batsman leg. Try this for 1 or 2 time.

Hi simran here want to introduce a shot that i have found and it is reverse
sweep. if u are playing as a right hander press following keys.
shift+up+left+ s and for left hander press shift+up+right+s.you could

Press the continue button.see if that is what u require.if not go back twice
& again keep pressing the continue button till u get ur desired conditions.
for taking wickets on a wet pitch:
Take a (right arm)fast bowler.always bowl from over the wicket to a right
hander & around to a leftie.first one or two balls bowl short or good length
balls to the batsman.then place the pointer just in front of his crease in
line with off-middle stump.press "A" & keep let the speedbar stop just before
the no-ball line.the batsman will go for a straight drive & ball will sneak
below his bat.
NOTE:Dont overbowl it or the batsman will play a different shot.Use it after
bowling good or short length balls.
This trick applies for only a wet pitch

Hi friends I have found out a new cheat .Actually it is not the cheat but it's
hint. This will prevent you from getting LBW out. What you have to do is when
you are batting and appealed for LBW you must press the keys 'A','S','D' and
below three arrow keys alternately and you will be preventd from getting out.
Most of the times this cheat works. While playing cricket 2005 you should try
to concentrate on your timing this will help you to play big shots. By taking
Pakistan team as your opponent , you can hit their bowlers very well especially
Rana naved and Shoaib akthar but at this time your team should be either australia
or india. If you change your batting order by placing Gilchrist on no.3 he can
easily hit huge sixes.

C H E A T F O R R E V E R S E S W E E P.
First of all I would like to say that it is a terrafic game.
I have got a cheat for ul, with which u can activte the reverse
sweep shot. Just find a folder where all the files of different
shots are stored. Copy the file named "swpaddle1" & "swpaddle2"
to an external folder. Now rename the files named "revsweep1" &
"revsweep2" to "swapaddle1" & "swpaddle2". Now just look there is
one more folder inside the subfolder where u have renamed the files.
Go inside it n do the same thing.( Rename swpaddle to revsweep,Remember
there is only one file there for each shot). Now start the game press
the key which u use to play a paddle shot.Batsman will play a reverse
sweep. U can even come down the track and play this sweep. If u connect
well u will find the ball sailing over the head of thirdman.

If u loses the toss and opposite team decided to bat,dont worry u can allout them
below 20 runs:
1)take medium fast bowler like ashish nehra,ganguly etc.
2)bowl on the just side of umpire shoulder and bowl from over the wicket and
from backfoot key.
3)speed of ball is not should be very fast or very slow keep the speed of the
ball should be medium.
FROM THIS U WILL SEE THAT BATSMAN CANNOT PLAY THE BALL AND BATSMAN GETS BOWLED.

BOWLER or a MEDIUM FAST BOWLER .Now press 'S' and pitch the bowl rigth behind

Hello everyone i am submitting my cheat for the first time,this is a hint for
scoring fast runs When u r batting If the ball is of a good lenght delivery on
the off stump or middle stump then U press shift+up arrow +right arrow(for
right handed batsman )(left arrow for left hand batsman)+s See every good lenght
ball u hit a six or a four And if he pitches a overpitched ball then press up
arrow +right arrow and shift+s then u see every ball goes for 6 (press left
arrow for left handed batsman).My highest score is 389for5 against Srilanka

This is an easy trick to hit a fast bowlers with any batsman.
* Step out of ur legstump.( ur batsman's legs should be just outside d legstump).
Now the tips is for right handed batsman.
* When a bowler bowls a good lenth/ bit short bowl press
shift + up arrow + right arrow + s keys together.
* When a bowler bowls a pitched up(not a yorker)press
Shift + down arrow + right arrow + s keys together.

Take medium paced bolwer.Like A.Nehra,S.Ganguly etc for India.Bowl a short delivery
& keep the speed low just 2 to 3 bars.The bowl will not bounce well & the batsman
will take it as a bouncer & will try to hit it with the W key.The bowl will keep low
and you will get a bolwed or a LBW.
Easy six shots:
---------------
The more you play, the more you will master the game. It is not easy to start hitting
six shots from the start. Even after much practice you will find it difficult to play
the all the shots. The best way is to play six shots down on the long on and long off
boundary using [Down] + [Shift] + S. Players who have good calibre like Sachin Tendulkar,
Virender Sehwag, etc. will be find it difficult to hit six shots. If you try with other
players you may end up with a mis-timed shot and give a catch. If bowled onto the stumps,
for beginners play it down the legside using S + [Right].
Easy run outs:
--------------
Go to "My Cricket" then click "Game Settings". Set "Auto Fielding" to "Manual Fielding".
Then, start a match and choose a fast bowler. Change the field by using "Field Editor"
and select "Retreat 3:. Bowl out side offstump batsman will defence. Do not get to the
ball immediately. Wait for two or three seconds. The batsman will run. Go and pick the
ball and press [Space] + S for hitting a direct aim at non-strikers end or [Space] + W
for hitting a direct aim at strikers end. Most of the times the batsman will be out.
Note: Be patient as the batsmen will not not run sometimes.

Tips for Bowling:

2. Vary the pace of the bowling.
3. Vary the spin of the bowling.
4. Medium-Fast and Fast bowlers are good on green pitches.
5. Spin bowlers are best on dusty and hard pitches.
6. Vary the bowling side between over and around the wicket.
7. When bowling, frequently vary your field setup to defend against your opposition's shots.
8. When bowling with Medium-Fast and Fast bowlers in a test match, it is good to have three
or four slip fielders to catch edges.
9. Patience is a virtue in a test match.
10. Medium-pacers are more effective on damp and wet pitches.
Tips for Batting:

1. Keep an eye on the opponent's fielding positions to exploit the gaps.
2. Use practice nets to learn the shots and perfect your timing.
3. In the practice nets, learn every shot so that you can vary your shot selection and
direction in the game.
4. Remember, patience is a virtue in a test match.
5. Use the Six Hit button early on in One Day Games as the fielders have restrictions
placed on them during the first 30% of the game.
6. Missing the shot results in a drop in the batsman's confidence level.
7. Being hit by the ball results in a significant drop in the batsman's confidence level.
8. When first batting, use the run assist function to help judge running between the wickets.
Get batsmen out fast:

* Bring in a fast bowler (for example, McGrath) and aim a normal delivery behind either
the middle or the off stump. Put the bar up to almost full power and let her rip. Most
batters will swing and miss or be caught LBW.
