SNES Metroid - Platform: Super Nintendo

Refill all Power Tanks
----------------------
Refill all your energy using a Power Bomb (Crystal Flash)
(seen in DEMO).
This trick will refill Samus' energy to full (with the
exception of the Reserve Tanks):

DIRECTIONS
----------
1. You must have AT LEAST 10 missiles, 10 Super missiles,
and 11 Power Bombs (that is the "cost"
of doing this trick). You also must have less than 50 on
your energy meter (Reserve Tanks must be
empty as well)

2. Press down twice to roll into a ball

3. Press SELECT 3 times to highlight the Power Bombs

4. HOLD L, R, Down, and then press and hold the Shot button
(Default setting for shot is X).

5. Continue to hold the 4 buttons until the Power Bomb explodes.
At that point, Samus will be
engulfed in a white nimbus of light which will refill all her
energy tanks.

WALL BOUNCE
-----------
This trick will let Samus bounce off of walls to go higher up
on the screen. There is a place
in Brinstar where there are three Etecoons, the monkey-like
creatures. This trick is necessary
in order to get out of this area.

TO BOUNCE OFF THE WALLS
-----------------------
You need to press right or left and then press the Jump button
so that you do a spinning jump.
As soon as Samus touches a wall (while still spinning), press
the opposite direction on the
control pad and then press jump again.

If done correctly, this will bounce Samus higher up on the
screen. IT IS A VERY DIFFICULT
THING TO LEARN AND WILL TAKE A LOT OF PRACTICE!!!!!!

SPEED BOOSTER BLAST
-------------------
This trick allows you to break through some types of blocks.
To do it, you must have found the
Speed Booster. You also need a long "runway" to build up enough speed.

TO DO THE BOOSTER BLAST
-----------------------
Hold down the Dash button (Default Dash button is B), then run
until Samus is glowing yellow.
While Samus is glowing, press down once. If you did it correctly,
Samus should be flashing white.

Now when you press the Jump button (Default = A button), Samus
will do a powerful Dashing
jump in whatever direction you pressed when you hit jump. HOLD
the R Button (diagonal up
button. before jumping if you wish to do a diagonal jump.

NOTE
----
When you use this jump, it drains some of your energy!!

POWERED UP LASERS (seen in DEMO)
--------------------------------
After you have collected some Power Bombs, you can do a trick
using the Charge Beam that allows you to shoot special beams
using the different lasers.

TO DO THIS TRICK
----------------
On the Samus Info Screen, highlight the Charge Beam and ONE of
the other lasers. Return to
the game screen and press SELECT three times to highlight the
Power Bomb Icon. Now hold
down the Fire button to charge up the weapon and it will do
something different than it
normally does (i.e. a protective shield, scatter shot, etc.)

RESCUE WEIRD BIRD AND MONKEYS
-----------------------------
After defeating the Mother Brain at the end of the game,
You have 3 minutes to escape the
planet before it blows up.

On your way back to your Ship, you can take a small detour
and rescue the Weird Monkeys and the Weird Bird that were in
the game. If you rescue them, the ending changes VERY
slightly (i.e. a few pixels are different).
